How to play Closest to the Pin (Proxies)

One winner per par 3: hit the green closest to the hole and take that hole's share of the CTP pool.

par 3s · any player count

The rules

The CTP share of the pot splits evenly across the course’s par 3s. Mark the proxy on each par 3 during the round; the admin taps the winners into the scoring page afterward (or writes them on the printed Payout Sheet). A par 3 nobody hits rolls its money into the skins pool on the printed sheet — no orphaned dollars.

Plays best: Every money day with par 3s. Cheap to run, and everyone has a swing at it.

Play Closest to the Pin (Proxies) with Tangent

Pick Closest to the Pin (Proxies) in Game setup and Tangent does the rest: every player scores on their phone (or their Tangent app round fills the card), pops come from each player’s handicap and tee, the live board shows where everyone stands, and the money settles itself at the end — no spreadsheet, no math at the bar.

Players who play their round in the Tangent app don’t type a thing: the app keeps their card, and the live board adds tour-style stats — fairways, greens in regulation, putts, longest drive and the shot of the day by strokes gained.
