It’s the group side of Tangent Golf — one home for your golf community’s roster, weekly tee times, events, and trips. You sign in with the same Tangent account you use in the Tangent app, and your identity (name, photo, handicap) carries over automatically.

Groups are invite-only. A group admin either sends you an email invite or shares an invite link — open it, sign in (or create your Tangent account), and you’re on the roster. There’s no public directory to browse; if you know a group you should be in, ask its admin for an invite.

Start at Create your group. You become the group’s admin: you build the roster (invite by email or share a link), set up weekly tee times, and create events. You can add more admins later, so running the group doesn’t have to fall on one person.

Admins manage the roster (invites, join requests, removals), publish the weekly tee sheet and set the pairings, and create and run events. Members see a Manage button on their dashboard next to any group they admin.

Open the event and tap Sign up. If the field is full you land on the waitlist, in order. When a reserved spot opens up — someone taps Remove me or an admin removes a player — the first person on the waitlist is promoted automatically. Your dashboard shows every event you’re signed up or waitlisted for.

Your dashboard shows the group’s upcoming tee-time days, each with a weather forecast. Tap I can play on a day to claim a spot; when the day is full you go on the waitlist, and openings backfill automatically from it. The group admin sets the actual pairings and tee-time assignments before play.

Your handicap index comes from your Tangent account. If it’s out of date or missing, set a self-service override on your profile — it applies across Tangent, including the app. Enter it as a number like 12.4; for a plus handicap use a leading plus sign, like +2.1.

Your name and photo are part of your Tangent identity, so edit them in the Tangent app (or at app.tangent.golf). The change shows up here automatically — there’s no separate groups-side profile to keep in sync.

Check your spam or junk folder first. Add groups@tangent.golf to your contacts or safe-sender list so group emails don't end up in spam — every message from your groups (including those sent on behalf of a group admin) comes from groups@tangent.golf.

On your profile, find the group under your memberships and use its Leave button (you’ll be asked to confirm). If you change your mind later, a group admin can invite you back.
