How to play Best Gross + Best Net
Every hole, the team counts its low gross ball and then its low net ball — the low handicapper's birdie and the high handicapper's pop both matter.

The rules
The best gross score on a hole counts first; then the best net score among the team’s other balls counts too. One ball can’t be both unless the host switches that on. Count more of either in Game setup — 2 gross + 1 net, say.
Plays best: Mixed-handicap foursomes where the good players want their gross to matter.
Play Best Gross + Best Net with Tangent
Pick Best Gross + Best Net in Game setup and Tangent does the rest: every player scores on their phone (or their Tangent app round fills the card), pops come from each player’s handicap and tee, the live board shows where everyone stands, and the money settles itself at the end — no spreadsheet, no math at the bar.
Players who play their round in the Tangent app don’t type a thing: the app keeps their card, and the live board adds tour-style stats — fairways, greens in regulation, putts, longest drive and the shot of the day by strokes gained.
