How to play Cha Cha Cha (1-2-3)

The ball count rotates every hole — best ball on the 1st, best 2 on the 2nd, best 3 on the 3rd, then round again.

The rules

A best-ball game for a foursome where the count never sits still: one net ball counts on holes 1, 4, 7…, two on holes 2, 5, 8…, and three on holes 3, 6, 9…. Teams rank by strokes under the counted par. Like every best-ball game here it can cap a counted score at net double bogey and play at a handicap allowance.

Plays best: Foursome days that want a best-ball with a little rhythm to it.

Play Cha Cha Cha (1-2-3) with Tangent

Pick Cha Cha Cha (1-2-3) in Game setup and Tangent does the rest: every player scores on their phone (or their Tangent app round fills the card), pops come from each player’s handicap and tee, the live board shows where everyone stands, and the money settles itself at the end — no spreadsheet, no math at the bar.

Players who play their round in the Tangent app don’t type a thing: the app keeps their card, and the live board adds tour-style stats — fairways, greens in regulation, putts, longest drive and the shot of the day by strokes gained.
