Club Championship

Club championship software

Sign-ups, flights, tee times and a live gross-and-net leaderboard for your club championship — one event page the whole membership can follow, round by round.

What a championship needs

  • Flights by handicap

Split the field into championship and handicap flights, rename them, and move players by hand.

  • Gross and net, every round

Standings to par over every round played — gross for the championship, net for the flights — updated as cards come in.

  • Multi-day rounds

Set each round's date, course and format; the leaderboard counts the rounds you've completed.

  • Tee times and pairings

Build the tee sheet, publish pairings and send them to the field.

  • Live scoring

Players score on their phones from a link or QR code — or in the Tangent app — and the leaderboard moves hole by hole.

  • An event page for the membership

Schedule, field, tee times and results on one public page; no account needed to follow along.

How to run a club championship on Tangent

  1. Create the event

Dates, course and rounds — 36, 54 or 72 holes over as many days as you play.

  2. Take entries

Open sign-ups on the event page, by date, or add the field yourself.

  3. Set the flights

Championship and handicap flights from the players' indexes.

  4. Publish tee times

Pairings and starting times for each round, on the event site.

  5. Score it live

Every phone keeps a card; gross and net standings update after every hole.

  6. Crown the champions

Final standings per flight, with the results kept on the event page.

One place for the whole championship

A club championship lives on spreadsheets and a pinned results sheet at a lot of clubs. On Tangent the entries, flights, tee times and scores are one event, and the leaderboard is live — members check it from the clubhouse or the couch.

Running a member-guest or a charity tournament too? They’re events on the same platform.

Questions
